Control Descriptions dialog - "What tab"

Use this dialog to edit the properties of the selected Control Descriptions object.

Show partial course

By using this setting, you can create a control description that covers only part of the course.

This can be useful if you want to place control descriptions for different parts of the course in different locations on the map.

Part

Course part shown

The control description show the part(s) of the course corresponding to what is shown on the map.  If the course has no map exchanges, this option is identical to "Entire course"

Entire course

Show the entire course

Part x

Show this specific course part.  If that part is not shown on the map, the control description object will also not be shown.

Start from row / Number of rows

This controls how many rows of the control description is shown.  The header rows count, so the topmost row may be the first header row.  This can be used to split control descriptions to different places on the map.  Useful if there is not room for the complete control descriptions at one place.

Show headers

Show headers only

Check this box to show only the header rows.  The headers include the box with the event name and date, the box with the classes running the course (if applicable) and the box with the course name, length and climb.

Show course variation

Check this box to show the relay variation code above the control descriptions.

Show specific course

Normally, the "all controls" map will have control descriptions for all controls.  However, you can also place a control descriptions object for a specific course.

You can place control descriptions for multiple courses on the "all controls" printout, and use this as a general map that runners can pencil in leg lines for their own course.
